Jira Automation - Predecessor by Rank

Hi there :D ,

I would like to automatically set the predecessor of an issue to the issue with a Rank just one above it in the backlog, and do this sequentially for all issues in the backlog.

The problem I have is that {{issue.rank}} does not return e.g. rank = "7", rather it returns an alpha-numeric "2|i019qh".

The logic is as per below - is there any way of doing this using automation? Any help will be greatly appreciated and will save many manual hours moving forward!!

HI Hein,

Developer from Automation here.

Currently we don't have actions around setting board/backlog ranks, but we do have an open improvement item here: https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-919

Hopefully this is something we will support in the future.

Cheers.
