JIRA-XRay Cross Project Requirement Coverage

Deleted user Feb 16, 2022

Hello together,

I have one mayor project which contains Requirements for a high level application and the Test Cases to cover them.

This application is used in many other projects but the requirements and test cases stay the same. Because of that I supply this projects with the test cases to execute.

This is working fine. I got the test results directly and can see in which project they have been executed.

Now I want to see the requirement coverage status including the test execution from a different project.

The standard XRay reports are not enabling this.

Is there a way to do this?

That is the use case I'd like to set up, as described here: https://docs.getxray.app/display/XRAYCLOUD/Project+Organization#ProjectOrganization-SeparatemyRequirementsandDefectsfromTests

Since it is a typical use case described in the documentation, I would expect requirement reporting to work for that.

We have multiple software projects but would like just one project for managing the test cases, rather than distributing them across the multiple software projects.

Hi @[deleted]

Currently, it is not possible to use cross-project requirement coverage.

Please contact Xray Support (http://Xraysupport.getXray.app) to share your use case. We would like to have a chance to analyze it.

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Rogerio Paiva [Xray Support Team]
