JIRA Plugin Active Objects ao.create Null Pointer Exception

I'm getting my butt kicked on this one.  I cannot find why I'm getting this null pointer exception when it works on the EXACT same version of JIRA / AO on another box.  Everything is the same but ao.create(xxx.class) fails.

Anyone have this problem?  Google has similar issues on older versions.

Jira:  7.3.0

AO:
