These are some of the guide lines given to us to apply for each development story for designing , developing and testing the feature. Is there a way to add this automatically when we create each story?

This can be achieved in a few ways. Are you able to tell us if you're on Jira Server or Jira Cloud? Does the URL you use to login to Jira look like https://yourcompany.atlassian.net?

Hi Rajesh,

You would then be using Jira Server. Templates are available with marketplace apps (see them all here). It's best to check with your administrator to see what is available already, or if you can get a new one.

I have used Issue Templates for Jira before - very easy to use and very flexible.

If getting a new app is difficult, then it is possible to utilise existing tools such as Scriptrunner for Jira, to script in default text for the description or another text field.
