Is there any plan to enable some form of offline/syncing mode?

JIRA is a great program and a very useful tracker.

Is there any plan to support some sort of offline/static mode for when Internet access may not be available? It's currently an issue not knowing what tasks need to be done when there's no Internet access.

I don't think Atlassian has it on the roadmap, but I can hardly comment on that. I know ALM Works has a external client for JIRA that sports offline mode, I think:

JIRA Is Always With You

You always work with local copies of issues, which JIRA Client syncs with JIRA in background. Thanks to this architecture, you can do almost everything offline - on the road or outside Intranet.

Thanks Steven... I saw this one but was hoping they'd have an official client in the works. Maybe not.
