I did what I could to make it compatible with latest jira versions, and contributed that code back, but I'm not interested in supporting it. Not without payment anyway.

The original author stated that he was not interested in the project anymore. Also Atlassian were asked if they could facilitate some sort of "orphanage" for plugins, maybe through answers or something.

Yes, unninstall in raising price for jira is very good option. You should consider to add this plugin to standard jira version.

Jamie thx, for answer. We will continue develop this plugin by internal developers.

You *really* need to add some more details to your question if you want the best help we can give ! ;-)

I presume you are talking about the "User picker from Project Role" plugin?

I doubt it's support when the author doesn't even put their contact details up

however, you could try jamie Echlin as his name appears here... also here http://blogs.onresolve.com/?author=3

Given jamie's answer, you've options are limited:

  • Contact an Atlassian partner or an an independent developer who can do the work for you
  • Update the code yourself
  • Uninstall the plugin. Not an easy choice but one you must always be prepared to do if you want to use an unsupported plugin.
