I've created an Insight Referenced Object (multi select) field. However, when the user selects the referenced Object, I need this field to auto-populate all the values based on the object without requiring the user to select the values.
Is this possible?
Hi Josh.
It's not possible to automatically assign objects to an referenced field, that is only possible for the normal custom field. Feel free to create a feature request for this at jira.riada.se which is our open environment for feature requests (that you can add), and where we also add the verified bugs. You can watch and comment on any issues added.
However, we are about the release Insight 5.4, that will contain a new implementation of the custom field, where this will be possible. For that you would need to create a new Insight custom field and make some configuration. When this is released, I would advise you to check the documentation for the 5.4 release, and also the release notes where this will be mentioned.
Best Regards
Alexander
Hi Alexander,
could you please point to the documentation where this new implementation is described?

Hi Alexander,
I don't see how to auto populate the referenced field the option "assign filter scope" is only available for the default insight field.

Yes, it's not possible to auto populate the reference field, those objects needs to be manually selected.
