I am feeling a bit foolish because I cannot seem to find the Insight Object Search. I can search within a specific object type, but the general "Search for Objects" doesn't appear. Surely I am missing something. All I see on the Insight menu are "View all object schemas" and "Configure Insight" I can't figure out where the general object search is that will accept IQL and return a list of matching objects.
Hello @C_ Derek Fields
There is no such option in Cloud. The only available IQL search is within an existing schema and an existing Object Type.
Meaning you can only search for objects in that Object type. There are some IQL capabilities there, just under the Object Type Name, you can swith to Advanced and enter IQL.
That is what I thought, but I was hoping that I was just failing to see the general search capability. I am used to using it in Server/DC

Hello!
Maybe this can help you :)

That is for the search within a specific object. In Insight Server, there is an Object Search capability, similar to the Issue Navigation, where you can put IQL and search all of the objects, not just a specific Object Type.

What a big feature that is missing. At the moment insight is not ready for production...

I brought this up with Atlassian and got them to create this feature issue.
Please vote for it and thanks
