Insight Object Schema Managers do not have permissions to use the Import tool

Isidre Costa January 20, 2021

Hello,
two weeks ago we upgraded the version of Jira and Insight (to 8.6.12).

We have got an Insight schema where users that are configured as Object Schema Managers used to Import and Synchronize items in their schema. They have some configurations configured and they were very happy with this tools.

Since we upgraded the version of Insight, they are not able to use this functionality. They only can see a message saying that "Only Jira Administrators are permitted to configure import configurations"

Users need to use the import tool, but they can not be Jira Administrators. Is there any way to solve it? We did not know that upgrading Insight user would loose this feature.

Thank you!

Isidre

This bug was fixed in Insight 8.6.15. You still need to be a Jira admin for DB & LDAP imports though.

Yes, we have just updated to Insight 8.7.2 and now users can make their own imports.

Thanks!
