In xRay, like other Test management tools, is it possible to map Defect to a partcular testcycle

Like in other Test management tools, can we map a defect to a partcular phase or iteration.

  • Test Phase ->  we do have phases or cycle/iteration, Phase 1 and 2 in other tools , so we should be able to indicate for which phase the defect is. Like  wise how can we map the defect to a particular phase or iteration or cycle.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Preethi Srinivasan

In Xray, we do use have Test Cycles. Instead, we have Test Plans and Test Executions. This allows you to create a defect on a specific Test Step of the Test Run, keeping the association between the issues. You can read more about Test Runs here, and more about the structure of the organization of Defects here. If you have any more questions, you can open a support ticket in our service desk portal.

Best Regards,

Team Xray
