Hi,
I'm looking to create an automation, that can automatically update linked issue using the current issue, with sprint details, such as start date and end date etc
Hi Pastry - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Have you created your rule yet? Can you share that?
Hi John, I have created a sample one just to see what happens, as I'm new to this.
But I'm getting the following issue, whenever the rule triggers.
I have selected sprint started trigger condition -> branch / related issue -> linked issue -> blocked by -> then i copied date from current issue.
But whenever the rule triggers it gives me the following issue.
Branch rule / related issues Can't branch rule as it requires issue(s) in the context for this option. More than likely you have a trigger that doesn't insert issues into the rule chain. e.g. Scheduled rule not running a JQL query. Creating an issue does not put an issue into the context, you have to branch on it directly.

Can you post the actual rule here? That will help in troubleshooting.

I'm facing this issue, when i select the linked issue option and destination issue option.

Looks like you need another Condition prior to the brant so that it downs which issues are in the Sprint.
