How to restrict available jira projects that a testrail user can see when pushing a defect

We face the following issue:

  1. We linked our TestRail QA (cloud) and Jira (Cloud) using the Jira add-on
  2. A QA person on Testrail wants to add a bug report (push a defect from within Testrail)
  3. When the "Push Defect" dialog opens, the first action is to choose the corresponding Jira Project*

--> This list exposes ALL EXISTING Jira projects, which is an issue. The QA persons should not see all available Jira projects for multiple reasons:

  • confidentiality
  • distraction
  • efficiency (our list is 80 items or bigger, but only 3 projects are relevant for TestRail)

Is there a way to limit the available Projects to choose from within TestRail?

The best solution of course would be to map a TestRail project 1:1 to a Jira project and you don't even have to choose a project when pushing a defect! I tried doing that in the TestRail Project Settings (overriding the globals), but I could not figure out the direct URL for defects for a certain Jira project.

Any help is much appreciated!

Cheers

Andy
