How to prevent updating executions when changing tests?

Olga Kulbyakina June 24, 2020

We  have tests and add them to release/smoke/project test cycles so executions are created.
When we update tests (add new steps/expected results or change existing) these changes are done for all existing test executions.

Is there a way to keep already existing executions unchanged? May be there is a way to complete/close a test cycle to prevent this?

Hi @Olga Kulbyakina

I think that you need to create a new version for your tests, and not update the existing version. This way you will not lose your previous text execution data https://support.smartbear.com/zephyr-scale-server/docs/test-cases/create/version-control/create.html
