How to post rest api for JIRA on-premise?

Hi Team, 

I have referred the link  https://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/REST/8.1.0/#api/2/version-getVersion 

I was trying to do post method through rest api https://jira.abc.com/rest/api/2/issue, But I'm getting 400 status code. same URL is working for Get method, can anyone help me with this? I'm new to Rest api's
