How to list each Macros/Plugin being used by each space

Joe Salas January 3, 2012

We are currently in process to upgrade from Confluence 2.9.2 to Confluence 4.0.
Before we upgrade to Confluence 4, we would like to get a report of all spaces and which macros each space is using.

  1. Is there a macro that can pull a report and list the types of macros/plugins being used by specific spaces?

  2. If there isn't a macro, is there a SQL script I can run in the backend to determine this report?

Thank you all for your support!

I've used https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/CMUS/Confluence+Macro+Usage+Status+Plugin a lot, but I think it's only available for 3.x

I have used it on 2.10, but I suspect one of my colleagues at the time may have recompiled it against the 2.10 API, so I don't know if it would work.

See this also, from Sarah Maddox: http://ffeathers.wordpress.com/2011/11/04/how-to-search-confluence-for-usage-of-a-macro/

I tried it an it worked. It only lists the macros you search for, it'd be great if it could search a space for them all.

Thank you! The macro worked great on 2.9.2 after increasing 'time-out' feature.
