I was looking for some form of reporting out of the Insight Add-on for Jira Service Desk. (Cloud).

Essentially i wanted to get a report that shows what assets are connected to specific Users.
The way i have i set up is I have Users and Computers as Object Types, and developed the relationship between the 2 so when i search a User I see that this person has 2 Computers and a Phone linked to them. (3 Assets)
I just need to be able to print out that users details and then it have the the relational Data on the sheet specifying what Asset numbers are associated with that user.
For example if an employee leaves the company i just want to be able to print out a report to give to HR that says this User has a Laptop, a Desktop PC and a Phone that needs to be returned.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Peter

With the provided HR Schema example you could do this by a search request

Object HAVING outboundReferences(objectType=Employee AND "JIRA User"="<JIRAUSERNAME>"

The built in report "User Object Count" only takes a Jira User as input and does not work with objects not directly connected to a jira user.

Is there any update on this in-regards to ALL the changes Insight has made? Primarily a way to report this exact same scenario on the cloud integration and NOT the App (which will be obsolete at the end of the month)

I really wish Insight would/could function more independently, without being connected to an Issue in Jira. Not to mention create a better automation system with out requiring users to be code masters in script and JSON.
