How to find tests without Cycle ?

Eugen Zinkovsky December 13, 2017

Hi all,

I was trying to  do a check - to see  if all tests  have been added to any cycle .  I wanted to ensure in this way , i haven't missed any tests  in my  test execution activity.

I was thinking below steps should  help me in achieving  that:

Navigate  Test -> Search Text Execution -> enter below querry:

cycleName is EMPTY

Actual = No Test Found .

To be sure i have used correct ZQL , i have added a dummy test - without assigning it to a cycle , and this tests was not retrieved by Empty CycleName query.

Could you please advise:

1.  Is a valid bug why  querying by EMPTY Cycle Name did not retrieve me   Orphan tests ( That was not added to any test Cycle)  = or Empty Cycle is used for something else?

2. There is  some other ways so i can identify  orphan tests  ?

Thanks,

Eugen
