I am using Automation for Jira server to realize some automation rules in my jira server.
What I wanted to achieve:
When issue 1# is linked to issue 2# with linktype "Verifies", find issue 3# that is linked to issue 2# with linktype "Parents", and then create linktype "Verifies" between issue 1# and issue 3#
In more brief way to describe my expectation:
- issue 3# "parents" issue 1#
- issue 1# "verifies" issue 2# --> trigger
automation: when trigger occurs, do below:
- issue 1# "verfies" issue 3#
I was trying to use "branch/related issue" to create this automation, but failed seems issue 1# will be set as trigger issue and issue 2# will be set as destination issue and then I cannot find issue 3# since trigger issue is not issue 1#
