How to copy the assignee of a parent issue to linked child issues

Hi all,

I know this could be something silly but I need help. I'm trying to set up an automation rule in Jira Service Management that will copy the assignee of a parent issue to linked child issues. I've tried the following different ways, but I'm not having any luck.

I leave attachments of the automation that I currently have, but the action of copying the assigned one does NOT work :( the assignee of the child issues is still set to the default value.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Edgardo Ibarra

Is it really a parent-child connection or „just“ a link between 2 issues? (unfortunately I can‘t find out from the screenshot as it‘s neither Englisch nor my mother tongue).

Could you maybe describe your problem in kinda use case language? (given - when - then, what is the entry situation, what actions are set that should trigger which result,…)

In case it refers to just an issue link I would suggest to work with a linked-issue-branch where you can set the linked issue in context and edit this issue.

Best
Stefan
