How to change a field automatically when user hits the save button

Mauro Martins November 7, 2018

Hello everyone,

Here's the current situation:

  1. I have 2 fields that people can edit in one of the screens that exist in my JIRA instance
  2. Depending on the selection of values on 1), I want to automatically update a specific field that exists on the same screen based on a couple of rules

I know there's script runner and I used it before but only applied to workflow status change. What and where can I add code related to change in fields that will be triggered upon user hits the save button on the screen?

Thanks!

Hi @Mauro Martins

You can use scriptrunner behaviours to set fields based on other form values
