I cant find an option to add an attachment which is a 20 KB excel file to the story which gets created by an automation rule every month. Is there any other way around it?
If you're referring to Jira Cloud Automation (formally Automation for Jira), then I can tell you that it is currently not possible. We've got an improvement open around this, https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-1083
