How can I see the branch that a git commit is on from the Source tab in Jira using the Fisheye plugin?

Solipsys Atlassian Administrators January 31, 2012

For issues where we have commits against several branches (e.g., bug fix on multiple patch releases), when we select the Source tab, we see that several changes have been committed, and we see the git hash for each commit. Can we configure the Fisheye plugin to show the branch that each commit was made on? If we follow the link to Fisheye, the branch is shown there. Also, can we show an abbreviated hash?

Jira: 4.2.4-b591

Fisheye: 2.5.4

FishEye Plugin: 3.0.22

Thanks,

Doug

Hi Doug,

Can we configure the Fisheye plugin to show the branch that each commit was made on?

According to https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/FISH-8 , this feature has been added into JIRA FishEye plugin 3.1.6. I would suggest that you upgrade to the latest FishEye 2.10.4 and JIRA 5.2.11 with JIRA FishEye plugin 5.2.9 to use this feature.

This plugin has its own bug/feature tracker, best to submit your wish there -> https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/FISH
