Hi
I'm managing shared teams in Jira cloud and I want to use automation to get the name of the team lead (has Role = Team Lead) based on the team updated in the issue.
how can it be done?
thanks.
That's going to be hard - roles are not issue fields, and automations work mostly off field data. You also have the problem that it is possible to put more than one person into a role in a project, and think about what happens when an issue moves to another project and the team lead changes.
Or are you representing your teams (and their leads) some other way?
Thanks.
I thought it's not going to be easy...
in my teams there is only 1 person with a Team Lead role so I wanted to get it from there.
I'll think of other ways to do so.
