How can Confluence watched pages/spaces and @mentions be integrated with Microsoft Teams

Douw Loots July 14, 2021

As a team we use MS Teams for collaboration and would like to connect to Confluence Cloud. The Confluence email notifications are missed a lot of the time and require changing windows.

The Microsoft Teams for Confluence Cloud | Atlassian Marketplace app seems like the correct solution, but not sure it fulfil our requirements and the documentation did not make it clear.

Our requirements for the integration are:

  1. Get notifications on watched spaces/pages
  2. Be notified of @mentions and be able to respond via Teams

What would be the best solution to achieve this?

Hi @Douw Loots

We just released the new Confluence for MS Teams app which will soon include customizable personal notifications for Confluence that come through Teams.

You can read more about it here

or check out the app here

We're also hosting a Webinar with MSFT next week where we will give a demo and answer questions.

Hope that's helpful!

Hi @Laura

Exciting news and we are especially interested in the coming feature:

“Today, Confluence notifications live in Confluence or in your inbox. But we know that centralizing your work means also centralizing where you get your notifications and updates. So in a few short weeks, we’ll be releasing Confluence personal notifications in the Teams app, enabling you to receive and respond to Confluence page updates, mentions, and comments."

Would a similar app be released for JIRA?

Thank you,

Douw
