Git Integration for Azure Repos with Jira Issues

Hi there
I wanted to integrate my Azure repo with Jira Issue pannel. Tried it with Github it works fine but at my company, we are using Azure Repo and we do not want to invest in the paid plugin/app offered in documentation (provided there are free solutions for other version controls)

As a workaround, I want to integrate the webhooks from Azure (on the git activity) into Jira issues. I was trying to create a forge app, and getting a web trigger URL to act as a webhook, but apparently, the URL doesn't work. When GET request sent to URL it gives 424 error. Can you please help or let me know if I am going in the right direction with this. Any help or assistance in this regard will be extremly useful, as I have tried almost all the possible solutions I can think of?
