Error rendering 'com.atlassian.jira.jira-view-issue-plugin:peoplemodule'. Please contact your JIRA administrators

aris unknown Feb 13, 2014

The problem was solved as follows :

I removed the "assign issue" permission from the users that has the problem displayed,
and the issue disappeared.

Since the issue disappeared doesnt mean that it has been resolved.

Its not correct to not be able to assign issues to other people in order to have the

workflow working correctly. We dont know which permission/action causes this problem

Suddenly I get the error Error rendering 'com.atlassian.jira.jira-view-issue-plugin:peoplemodule'. Please contact your JIRA administrators.
which appears only on an admin's profile.

2/3 administrators face this issue when we try to view a Bug in status "Completed".
On any other case, (status , issue type) everything works fine.
Tell me what kind of information you need in order to solve this issue because
if the 3rd administrator faces this issue too, we will have a major issue during our daily workflow.

Urgent : almost everyone having the "assign issue" permission faces this problem. As an administrator I am obliged each time to add/remove a user from this permission in order to be able to assign an issue to another user or to see the people around an issue in status "Completed"

Same error here. Only reproducible when closing an issue, or trying to see a closed issue using the url.

I'm not sure why you think this plugin is the cause. Are you using user picker fields provided by this plugin in workflow conditions?

Does the problem go away when you disable the plugin?

aris unknown Feb 23, 2014

Hi Jamie,

I contact Atlassian and they told me that is not a Jira issue but a plugin issue.

I cannot disable the plugin. It will not let our company do their normal daily functions.

If you want I can provide you with the workflow xml or any file you think would be helpful.

I have created some custom user fields and the plugin lets the bug to a certain step of the workflow to be assigned to the custom user field which has been given a value in the beginning of the issue.

I would be glad if we would be able to find the root of the cause

I am looking forward to hear from you,
