How can we create a drop down menu within a table if we do not have admin access and do not want an add on? Creating a variable doesn't work when multiple people have to access the confluence page. Can someone please help me figure this out?

I have already done the following:

  • Created a Template (New variable)
  • Cannot have any add ons
  • Do not have Admin access to confluence

Hi Alyson.

(Option 1) From my experience, you area bit limited to what you can do in Confluence tables. Based on your requirements, I suggest working out of an Excel file stored in a file list...

(Option 2) You can ask your Confluence admin to install Easy Dropdown Menu in the Atlassian marketplace. Version 1.6.1 and lower are free, 2.0.1+ is paid.

Note: In version 2.0+, the dropdown choices work properly with table filter macro. Version 2.0 is a pretty cheap add-on.
