Hello,
I want to ask if there is a way that we can create parameterized test case with xray.
That will generate multiple test execution depending on the parameters.
Hi Anouar,
As of the current version of Xray (v3.0), it is not yet supported. However, it's already part of our public roadmap https://confluence.xpand-addons.com/display/XRAY/Roadmap, thus we aim to deliver it during the current year (2018).
Currently, you can already use Cucumber Scenario Outlines, if you're adopting BDD using Cucumber, as a means to validate the same test case against different input values.
More info on the creation of Cucumber tests can be found here: https://confluence.xpand-addons.com/display/XRAY/Test#Test-Create
Best regards,
Xpand Add-ons Team
Hi José,
is it already possible to use test parameters in manuals steps (Test Type = Manual)?
If not, when will it be available?
Best,
Udo.

Hi Udo,
Unfortunately, it wasn't possible for us to release Parametrization yet as other features were developed and published in the meanwhile, but it is very high on our priority list and it will be one of the next ones to come up.
I'll keep you updated here as we move forward next year ;)
Best regards,
Team Xray

Hello José,
I'm very interested in this topic as well.
Not having parameterized tests would require to multiply the number of test cases just because running the same scenario against other input data. This, in turn, would imply high maintenance costs on the test case library when a scenario or it's data needs to be adapted.
Would you mind keeping me informed on this as well ?
Kind regards,
Gregory
