Creating and Reusing Confluence Glossary

G Cal June 10, 2019

Hi,

I am looking at creating a company glossary in Confluence that I can then reuse in our online help created through MadCap Flare. I want to create terms/definitions in Confluence and then export the Confluence glossary into an FLGLO file(MadCap's glossary file) or vice versa.

  • Do you require a Glossary plug-in for this or is there another way to easily create terms/definitions and export?
  • If you require a Glossary plug-in, which option (for cloud) allows doing this seamlessly?
  • Is the plug-in worth the cost in terms of functionality (at the Confluence Cloud 600 user tier)?

Thanks,

Gail

A Glossary which I personally really like is from Spectrum Group

The Excerpt+ Macro from K15T might be able, but only when you have the Glossary on the same space

Unfortunately, I have not been able to figure a way how to reuse glossary terms, as every letter is on one page and our Glossary is on a different space.

When you want to reuse in the same space, then it should work for you.
