Copy field to another issue

I need to know if it's possible to copy field to another issue?

The 2 issues are linked.

Hi Sébastien!

Yes, this is definitely possible using Automation For Jira. Here is some information to get you started, but post back here if you need assistance or have questions:

There are two types of automation:

  • Global: In the Free version, you get 100 executions per product, per month
  • Project: In all versions, you get unlimited executions per month

Automation Basics:

You can do this via global rules to apply to all projects also. You'll need to be a Jira Admin/Site Admin, go to Jira Settings > System > Automation Rules (left-hand menu).

For more on using Automation For Jira see these help pages.

HI John,

Thx for your quick answer.

But i don't see where to copy field in other issue. I see how to copy a field on the same issue but not on another.

I don't used the global tule i want to apply this rules only on my project.

We have the plugin automation for jira in the pay version.

Can you share what you have so far for your rule?

Basically, it would be a new Action for Edit field, then you select Copy from.

That will put it as Copy from Current Issue. But then click on the words Current Issue to be able to change values from another field.
