Can I edit an issue in another project when a custom field changes with Automation for JIRA?

Hi,

I am setting up an automation rule.

: create an issue B from issue A by project A automation rule --> success

: edit an issue A of project A  by project B automation rule --> fail

Below image is the issue B.

Below image is the project B automation rule. I cannot choose project A in the "Rult restricted to projects" filed.

How can I edit the issue A by project A automation rule?

Hey @jun lee

You have to change the Scope of the automation first in "Rule Details". There you may have to change to "Multiple Project" then select both projects.

Note: to change to multiple projects you have to go to "Global Automation".

Hi

Thanks you. I changed to multiple projects form Global rule, but it doesn't work.

Can you tell me how to set up?

Hey @jun lee

This looks fine now, like project scope includes both projects and what does the audit log says when automation is run (no action performed event), not when configuration changes were made.

my guess would be conditions are not meeting, please check those conditions also, the linked issue types inward and backward description ? Are they correct ?

Regard,

Vishwas

Hi

I found the fault that was a similar status name.  Haha.

Hi @jun lee

You may need to include both projects in the project restrictions.

What does the audit log say?

Regards

Hi

Audit log of the global rule is different from the project automation rule's. Below is the audit log.
