Basically I want to do the same burndown as the standard JIRA sprint burndown report based on issue count, but the count should include substasks
No. By definition, you do not burn-down on sub-tasks. Burn down looks at what you committed to and what you managed to do towards it, not parts of the commitment.
I JIRA you can do a burndown based on time estimates, and this burndown will include subtasks if you put a time estimate on substaks. So when you do a burndown on issue count, you should also have the option to include subtasks.
I know you can't do this in JIRA yet, so my question was specifically about the gadget:
Will this gadget allow me to do a sprint burndown on issue count that includes subtask count ?
