Can I automate moving tickets between boards when status changes?
No. Not because a limitation in automation, but because boards are not containers for issues, they are view of a selection of issues, there's nothing to "move"
If you want an issue to appear on a board, you have to make it match the selection the board is making. If you don't want it on the board, change it so it no longer matches the selection.
Status is generally not something you use in a board selection, unless you have a complex process where different boards are looking at different parts of it. In this case though, imagine you have a workflow of
Open -> in dev -> dev-done -> in test -> done
If board 1 is for developers and only maps open, in-dev and dev-done, and board 2 is for testers and only maps dev-done, in-test and done, then a change of status from dev-done to in-test will make an issue drop off board 1. No automation required!
