BigPicture Objectives (plugin) - can't add team codes

I need your help. I'm new to the BigPicture plugin.
I'm taking over the governance over the plugin for our Jira project and since former user's account was deleted, issues started occuring (probably his configuration was somehow tied to the whole BigPicture setup - might be the case?).
ISSUE: I can't add team codes to swimlanes under iterations. That happened after the former admin user account was deleted from Jira.
- I checked different configurations, e.g. the "Teams" module seems to consist of all teams and team codes.
- Earlier iterations (when the admin user was active) had team codes added to the swim lanes.
Does it ring any bell, do you have any ideas how could I get it to work again?
