BigPicture - How to update Task Status

Hi,

I'm new to BigPicture.

I'm wondering how do I update the Task Status in Big Picture.

My tasks are Basic Tasks not Jira. I've included Status in the field list but it doesn't let you edit it. In fact all my tasks seem to have no status.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or what I need to do to get this working?
