Behaviour conditon not working...

Pete Mikelonis January 25, 2016

Trying to see if behaviour conditions are working... Did something simple.

Using the Fix Version/s field... Set a condition to just one user and then logged in as a different user and this user was still allowed to change the field.

Shouldn't user 'renee' be the only use allowed to change the field?

Hi Pete,

By Default all fields in JIRA are writeable so that condition will get bypassed.

If you change your configuration to make the field Read Only for all users except for the renee user as shown in the screenshot below the you should get the expected result.

I hope this helps.

Kristian...

Thanks for the reply... But what I found out is that conditions didn't work on system fields which Fix Version/s is... only on Custom fields... Am I wrong on that?

thx

Pete

Hi Pete,

Conditions should work on System Fields as well. The config above worked in my JIRA 6.4.12 instance running Script Runner version 4.1.3.4.

Can I check what versions of Script Runner and JIRA you are using?

If you are still experiencing issues can you please post the errors from the logs that you experience when trying to run the config above.

Thanks

Kristian

Kristian,

We are using JIRA v6.4.11

and Script Runner 3.1.4

Which log file do I look at for errors? This one – atlassian-jira.log

Yes the atlassian-jira.log file will be the correct log file.
