When an issue needs to be split at the end of an iteration I would like a custom field that we are using on the Issue to be copied from the original issue to the split issue. Is this possible?

since Jira adds a Linked Issue "Splits to" when you select to split a ticket, you can use this to trigger an automation :

Thank you very much! With the automation tool, the values are taken over when splitting. Very good. That is exactly what we needed.
