Hi,
I am working on the request form and would like it to only show different custom fields depending on the selection in previous ones so that the request form is neater.
Example:
1st field YES/NO
If the requester chooses yes, another field will show for them to be able to provide more information.
I'm looking in Automation but can't really figure out how to go about it.
This isn't possible using Automation, that's not what it's used for.
I'd look to use Forms:

Hi @Ste Wright
Thank you for this!
How do I get Forms? Trying to find it in the link you sent but can't

I assume you're using Jira Service Management, given your mention of request forms?
If so - these instructions for creating a form should help you locate the right options!

Forms with higher customisation are mainly in Jira Service Management, with Work Management having a simpler version available.
For Software, I don't think there's a form option at the moment - and no native option to have fields appear as you require.
You could consider
Remember for JSM it's a separate product. So if you're only using it for this, you could get a small number of Agents (eg. 1-3), or potentially use the Free version - thus limiting the cost.

Hi again @Ste Wright
Sorry to bother you.
I got a business project now but I cant see the section option. Just drag and drop in the form. I also can't find the option to create new forms.

For the higher level of customisation you're looking for - hide/visualise fields - these options are only available in Forms in Jira Service Management.
