Automation: Have a custom field that is a diff between two multi-user picker lists?

I have two custom fields that are multi-user pickers. Let's call them A and B. B has values added to it through an automation rule. I want to create a new custom field C that has all of the values in A that are not in B.

So the sequence would be:

1. A exists as a static list when issue is created

2. B has values added to it over the duration of the tickets life that are values that exist in A

3. As B has values added to it, the diff between A and B can be shown by C.

The end goal is to display this in a dashboard gadget. Any advice appreciated
