Approvals get lost in parallel Workflows

I tested the parallel approval workflow (Adding Multiple Reviews: https://wiki.comalatech.com/display/CDML/Adding+Multiple+Reviews) and noticed, if  someone edits the page, given approvals in a workflow get lost/reset. Employee's who have given an approval are not informed about the reset.

Is this a wanted behaviour and if it is, how do I stop it?

Are you using one of our server apps? If so you can set the option 'Page Update Reset Approval' to 'Ignore'
