Hi

In answers, I posted answer to a question opened by another user.

Surprisingly, I am able to accept my own answer though the question was posted by someone else.

Isn't it a bug ?

Thanks, Vishnu.

Hi Vishnu. Maybe it is related to your Reputation (more than 1500 points). For me it doesn't work yet to accept my own answer on a foreign question.

Yea, could be. I guessed it. But, shouldn't it be restricted to the user who opened the question ? The user is supposed to try the suggestion and accept if it works. What do you say ?

I agree with you, but with such a high reputation you can act as a moderator with extended permissions, including accepting answers on foreign questions (not necessarily your own answer).
