JIRA Developer/Consultant Opportunity - preferably Toronto based

Introduction

Ryerson University is Canada's leader in innovative, career-focused education and a university on the move. Computing and Communications Services (CCS) provides information technology services to the Ryerson community.  CCS would like to explore customizing JIRA to capture and track project information, activities, milestones, deliverables across Ryerson’s portfolio of IT projects. This will include

  • evaluating CCS’s existing JIRA capabilities
  • analyzing requirements
  • advising on JIRA customizations and add-ons
  • developing, testing and implementing the solution.
  • Also includes accommodating change requests if any.

In addition, the project will include enhancements and maintenance on the existing Change Management system implemented in JIRA.

Engagement Scope

  1. Customize JIRA to build a repository of CCS projects and support project management practices
  2. Capture project information around tasks, resources, timelines to allow for project prioritization & tracking, project issue & change management
  3. Support standardization & best practices around project management & execution

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years delivering enterprise level solutions using JIRA Enterprise Server involving complex project workflows, screens, permissions, notifications and reports.
  • Atlassian Solution Partner preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL procedures & processes including IT Service Management principles.
  • Experience leading business requirements and analysis efforts
  • Experience integrating and developing JIRA plugins, tools and applications
