The Role
Our Atlassian Consultants are experts across our core business pillars, leveraging their technical competence and implementation experience to deliver technical and operational excellence. However, our consultants are more than just specialists, from aiding the pre-sales process to managing customer relations to sharing expertise and experience with team members, they are the foundation of Valiantys.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery:
- Delivers billable consulting services around the Atlassian products
- Situationally applies and adapts project management methodology effectively
- Owns and leads the delivery of short and medium-sized client projects
- Participates in the full project life cycle, taking ideas from concept through full deployment
- Liaise with customers to kick-off projects, follow their completion and validate delivery
- Flexibility to travel and work at the customer site where periods/projects require
Customer Management:
- Expectation management skills by independently working with customers
- Communicates effectively with team members both internally and with customers
- Ensures a solid understanding of business objectives associated with their assigned projects and/or programs
- Internally and externally demonstrates influence towards positive outcomes
Consulting Excellence:
- Take part in the delivery of key projects such as technical audits, functional audits, and advanced software configuration
- Develops an awareness of the competitive landscape including key differentiators and competitive positioning
- Understands the value of documentation and internal contributions to the knowledge-base and blog
Personal Skills
- Degree in computer science, or equivalent education/ work experience
- Business level English language skills
- Significant industry, technology and services experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability resulting in customer success
- Ability to effectively articulate a recommendation to senior-level decision makers
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment
Technical Skills
- You have delivered small to mid-size technical projects in a previous role
- Ideally, you have prior experience in consulting, technical support, software development or pre-sales activity for the Atlassian products or similar collaborative tools
- Ability to install, configure and implement Atlassian solutions. We don't expect you to do any coding, but you'd need to be able to install a Java web app and write basic scripts
- Good knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Excellent understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle (ALM) and of the tools used to support it
