what is difference between dev license and production license & How to create dev license

Hi ,

I want to know about dev license and production license. We already having production license for Atlassian tools.

I have to create Docker container for JIRA & I have to use this container on multiple machines. So Which type of JIRA license is require to use this Docker container on multiple machines.

And also let us know how to create dev license for Atlassian tools.

Hi,

If you purchase an Atlassian product, you receive a license for that product which you can access through http://my.atlassian.com. These are production licenses, intended to run you Atlassian product.

For testing or development purposes you can get a developer license for the products that you have bought. If you go to http://my.atlassian.com and open one of the licenses, one of the actions is View developer license.

Developer licenses are intended for the following:

Developer licenses can be used by existing license holders who wish to deploy non-production installations of our software to assist with development and testing efforts. Developer licenses can also be used for non-production installations of our software deployed on a cold stand-by server.

So if your Docker container fulfills the requirements stated above, then it is OK to use a development license.

Hi , Thanks for your quick reply. We have purchased licenses for Atlassian tools & I checked the licenses on http://my.atlassian.com with my account but still I am not able to View developer license tab in license section. So how can I get that. SEN-3355779
