we have JIRA version 5.2.If we can upgrade to 6.3 this can reslove?

I have read like if we remove special chars from workflow. It will reslove.But the problem is if we remove specials chars, we will lose workflow name identify and that too we have 40 workflow names with special chars.

If it not reslove even after upgrade what is best process to remove special chars from workflow name.

To resolve this we have to remove special char from Inactive workflow also?

Hi Kite,

As you noticed on https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-27809, this should indeed be fixed. While I don't think you'll need to rename your workflows after upgrading, if that is necessary you should be able to do so by simply navigating to Administration » Issues » Workflows and editing each of the workflows. You can replace any special character with a regular similar one.

Even though we have removed all the special characters from workflows still the problem existing.Please let us know if any suggestions.
