users don't have advanced work log functions after JIRA 6.0.1 upgrade

Kent Nighswander June 20, 2013

We upgraded from JIRA 5.x to 6.0.1 over the weekend. Since that time, our users are no longer able to click on the gear icon on a work log entry and see 'move', 'split' or 'delete' worklog. They only see 'view issue' as shown in the attached screenshot. This is happening on multiple projects and the only way we've found to grant that permission is to add a user to the project role administrator and then all the additional features show up. We have not made any project permission settings since the upgrade to cause this issue. We are also using Tempo for work logging and our version of that plugin is 7.6.2. We have also not made any changes to Tempo to cause this issue. Our only change was upgrading to JIRA 6.0.1. Please advise accordingly.

This is a result of the new editable user name in JIRA 6.0.1. Tempo is addressing the issue in their next release, Tempo 7.6.3 to be released next week according to Tempo support.
