I am trying to integrate confluence with a SSL Jira (both in different aws Linux environment ).
Do I need to do the SSL jira certificate configuration on confluence side.
while creating the application link I am getting the below error
Unable to retrieve the application's certificate: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
I have tried to import the SSL Jira certificate to confluence environment
It does not helped.
Please suggest your view to resolve the integration issue
Have you been able to solve your issue?
We typically see this error when the SSL certificate hasn't been imported properly. It is possible that the JAVA_HOME where you've imported the cert isn't the one being used.
We have a guide that walks through the most common cases for this problem.
In regards to the specific PKIX error you are seeing there is another great resource:
If these aren't enough to solve the issue it would be helpful to know more details about your SSL/proxy/network configurations on both Jira and Confluence so we can determine where the issue may be.
