We connected our github group account with jira via DVCS-connection but all added repositories show "sync failed".
What's the probleme and how can we solve that?
We want to buy a confluence and jira license but first integration with github needs to work for us.
Many thanks,
Sandro
Hi Sandro,
I would start by reproducing the issue and taking a look at the atlassian-jira.log and the catalina.out log to determine what the logs are reporting the issue to be and you can post the stack trace here for review.
In addition, we have an article titled DVCS Github sync failed that provides the following guidance:
For JIRA Server, you can try to add the dvcs.connector.pr-synchronization.disabled dark feature to disable pull request synchronization as a way to reduce the initial sync load on GitHub. Then, re-enable that feature later when load is back to normal.
For JIRA Cloud, you can request that support verify the API limit is being reached by checking your JIRA logs...
Cheers,
Branden
Hi Branden
Thanks for your fast reply.
We are on JIRA cloud, so we can't see our logs by ourself right or if we can could you tell me how?
The interesting part is, that 2 out of 3 repos are synchronized properly (after also getting "sync failed" error first). Only one repo still gets "sync failed".
This is our project if that helps: https://infekt.atlassian.net
Regards
Sandro

@somethingblueany ideas about this issue? We'd like to migrate our project completely to jira on monday but for that we need to set up the missing connection to the one github repo first

We have the same issue and just ignoring it. Upon initial sync, JIRA sets up webhooks on github for each project in the list of DVCS integrations. Then Github sends webhooks to JIRA allowing it to transition issues between statuses.
