subtasks enabled, in schema, but cannot create them ...

I have subtasks enabled.

I have subtasks in the project schema.

this is true for issues of type story and task, just generally not available.

when I open an issue and hit ... I can see clone etc but there is no option to create subtasks.

this was easy in 5.x and I'm probably just missing something simple.

Hello,

1. Make sure that you have sub-task issue types in your project 

2. Make sure that you are trying to create a sub-task from a parent issue type issue. I mean you are not trying create a sub-task form a sub-task

The button must be under the More dropdown list.

Check also the user has "create issue" - you need that to be able to create issues of any type in the project.
