some of our team members export empty spreadsheet without data. Why?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Exporting Search Results to Microsoft Excel

Some other people can normally export. So I doubt this is server setting issue but the client. But what is the recommended setting required for JIRA to export xml?

Hey Ann!

When I've seen this issue before, it's actually been a security setting in Excel that's keeping the data from displaying.  Try this:

1. Open the exported Excel sheet.
2. In Excel, go to File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings -> Protected View.
3. Uncheck Enable Protected View for file originating from the Internet.
